Ron Jaworski has always been one of the most dignified commentators on Monday Night Football.
Being an NFL analyst, he has an edge that sets him a league apart, almost granting him an iconic status.
And when it is someone of his stature that we are talking of, it is difficult to imagine that he can ever go wrong.
That is why, when in a recent episode of Monday Night Football, he dropped the S-bomb, using the expletive in a moment of frustration, it raised many an eyebrow.
The unfortunate episode occurred, when the Dolphins’ quarterback, Chad Henne, committed a faux pas on the field, in the match between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots on Monday night.
Unable to conceal his disappointment, Jaworski shouted, S***!, followed by an advice to the footballer that he needed to get rid of the ball, just a split second quicker.
Even though he tried to cover up for the expletive by staying mum about it, it seems that it lingered on his mind, just as it did in that of all the viewers.
That is probably why Jaworski brought it up, once again at the end of the fourth quarter, apologizing about “that word”, saying that he hoped that he had not offended anyone.
This is the first time, since the beginning of his association with the show back in 2007 that such an incidence has occurred.
While some have termed it as irresponsible, considering that the show was aired live, others have deemed it okay.
If you missed out on the action and the drama, you can watch it all by tuning in to Monday Night Football online.
As for those of you, who are wondering what ultimately came out of the match, despite throwing a career-best 416 yards, Henne was out-done by two-time NFL MVP Tom Brady, who managed 517 yards, making for a 38-24 win against the Dolphins.
