Well, lemme take you to a joyride that starts up from the very first day the show kicked the screen. Starting with the sponsor, lemme tell you that the first sponsor of the show was Marlboro Cigarettes, but later his commercials from television were banned by FCC.
Well proceeding further, I guess, nobody know about the white-haired man, Steve Bozeka, who was mentioned at the end of each of televise, while production credit was read by Howard Cosell. Though Bozeka used to get a rare & little air time but he is the man that was very close to Frank Gifford. Gifford liked him so much that he even told to ABC about him. And this Bozeka was none else but Cosell’s spotter.
If we turn the pages of Monday Night Football history then there were two occasions when two games were played simultaneously that resulted in split TV exposure. It happened once in 1987, when a conflicts over scheduling cropped up due to move of Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins to Game 7 of the World Series. Hence, for the planned game of that Sunday, Minnesota Vikings that was against Denver Broncos, Hubert H.Humphrey Metrodome became unavailable.
On account of the situation, the football game was then stimulated to Monday night, and ABC aired it in the Twin Cities (KSTP) and Denver (KUSA) markets while the rest of the country relished the regularly-scheduled game.
